Introducing a World First, The ANPRO Equestrian and Animal Fire Protection System
The ANPRO Fire Protection Systems are a World First in Equestrian, Livestock and Domestic Animal Fire Protection. Over 5 years of testing, trials and full building burns have been carried out to ensure that the system does what we say it does.
Due to the potential of limited water supplies and animal, especially equine behaviour traditional sprinkler systems are not suitable for the rural environment so this system has been designed in partnership between EquiProtect and Elan combining a number of technologies and state of the art engineering.
It can operate from an electric single phase pump, drawing water directly from the mains water supply or where electrical supply is not adequate then it can utilise a self contained pressure vessel.
The system utilises a specifically designed watermist nozzle which has been developed in conjunction with our partners at Elan. The Elan FPS AB-Hydro 18 Watermist Nozzle which expels water in micro droplets, these are super heat absorbing due the greater surface area created, the water is discharged at a rate of 18lpm at 7bars of pressure, the system also uses a fire fighting additive Burnstop™ which is added to enhance the fire fighting efficiency and allowing minimal water usage with a higher fire fighting capability.
Burnstop™ EX-S-300FF is a world world-renowned, environmentally friendly additive, with 75 international fire testing accreditations and prevents any reignition with extremely fast knock down of fire, even serious fires, whilst having no toxic effect on the products coated and is fully O.E.C.D protocol tested by J. Simon laboratories in Belgium against oral toxicity, skin & eye irritation and Norwegian forestry against plants and foliage. Burnstop™ has super heat absorbing properties which means not only will it reduce the heat in a fire compartment, it will also draw heat from anything it comes into contact with, not only this, it will also prevent any re ignition of anything it coats. Burnstop™ can also withstand low ambient temperatures so is ideally suited to rural environments where temperatures may go below freezing.
Traditional smoke detection is also not suitable for the harsh rural environment due to dust, moisture and other contaminants so the system uses Laser Aspirated Smoke Detection which continually monitors the air within the building. This rapid detection system will pick up the presence of smoke far quicker than traditional detection meaning advanced warning of a fire situation, the system is equipped to raise the alarm as well as notify owners via SMS technology and will monitor fault signals which can be monitored remotely and send out warning messages.
The use of aspirated smoke detection which constantly monitors air quality within the building also means there is a “bolt on” option of adding ammonia level monitoring to the system. High levels of ammonia within the air are not only life threatening to human’s but that of equine’s and other animals too, this important addition can be a useful tool in better health management in equestrian and livestock buildings as well as improving animal husbandry.
As a high percentage of fires in equestrian and livestock buildings are caused from an external source we can also offer Linier Heat Detection for the outside of buildings. This is in the form of linier heat wire which can be fixed to the eaves of a building or even at stages up the sides of a building, the moment this comes into contact with a direct heat source it will notify the monitoring panel which will send out a signal to the owners warning of a potential fire situation.
The complete system is designed around each clients requirements, it can be just simply detection, detection with addition of SMS alerting or detection SMS alerting and suppression with the “bolt on” ammonia or linier heat detection as well, the system also comes complete in a weather and tamper proof cabinet to protect from the elements and criminal targeting.
